I had the pleasure of meeting Jamie and her wonderful Mom, Georgia, at a cute little cafe in Hillcrest three months before her wedding.  She had most of her vendors booked but needed help with logistics, design, and rentals.  She basically needed to bring her vision to life and we immediately hit it off.

I suggested a few rental companies that Jamie could go through for all of her décor items.  We decided to keep the ceremony décor simple since she and Lance were exchanging their vows in the unique setting of the Sculpture Garden right outside of the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park.

I loved that Jamie had her brother stand next to her as her man-of-honor and Lance’s sister stood next to him as his best woman.

For their reception, Jamie and Lance wanted more of an extended cocktail party vibe where guests could stand at belly bars, mingle, or sit down at a table if they preferred.  They were concerned that SDMA’s downstairs “Rotunda” would be a tight squeeze for their 150 guests.  I suggested using a mixture of long rectangular tables as well as round tables around the rotunda.  It worked and looked amazing!

Jamie and Lance also wanted to included Lance’s career as an Officer in the military.   Their grand entrance into the SDMA was beautiful and made a big impact.

Their first dance took place on the grand marble staircase, overlooking their reception.

Jamie said, “Everyone is still talking about what an awesome wedding it was.  Everything ran so smoothly…and the set up looked beautiful!”.

Jamie wanted to incorporate her and Lance’s fun side in every aspect of the wedding.  This included….wait for it….a nacho cheese bar!  We loved the idea and it was a HUGE hit!   Jaime also wanted to be comfortable on her wedding day and her Vans were perfect!

Jamie and Lance are such a perfectly matched couple and I loved working with them!
