If you are reading this post then we are definitely kindred spirits.  Most people turn their noses up at the mere mention of sardines, but us?  Oh no.  We know better.

These salty (flavor, not attitude) little nutritional powerhouses are one of the most affordable and accessible superfoods on the planet, and very worthy of a spot in your pantry (and heart).  Sardines are high in protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and selenium, a mineral that both helps protect our thyroids from damage and is essential in the production of thyroid hormones. What’s not to love, right?

One of my favorite ways to eat sardines is on top of a salad.  There really are no directions for this recipe, guys.  Just put the veggies on a plate, top sardines ,and dress it with a drizzle of olive oil and a little sea salt and fresh cracked pepper.  Lunch or diner in 10 minutes with zero cooking and 1 dish!  WINNER WINNER SUBLIME SARDINE SALAD DINNER!  (My kids are so rolling their eyes at me right now.) 😉

Enjoy! xo
