In honor of National Read Across America Day (March 2), I thought I’d share with you a few of the great books I’m currently reading. I’m a huge lover of literature of all different genres and reading several good books concurrently is kinda my thing (ADD much?). Usually something inspirational, something business-related, and something for fun. If possible, while swaying in my hammock (because I am in San Diego).
So without further adieu….my short list of books I’ve recently read or am currently reading:
Paid To Speak – I started speaking (that sounds so funny!…I’ve been speaking since I was two, but I started speaking on a stage to people about what I do professionally) last year and with five speaking engagements already booked for this year, I thought this book would be helpful. I’m not afraid of public speaking, but I’m definitely a rookie and excited to learn more.
Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook by Gary Vaynerchuk – Gary became YouTube famous by transforming his Dad’s $3 million business into a $45 million business, much in part to using YouTube. Being a YouTuber myself, I appreciate his business perspective and admire how he has built his little empire.
Wife After God by Jennifer Smith – I’m actually reading this book with about 15 other women who are in my women’s group and its really challenged me to love Mark better and with more intention. You can read this book on your own or with a group of girl friends. You can also check out Jennifer’s blog HERE.
The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks – Don’t hate. I’ve read every single one of his books and seriously love them all. I actually just finished this one a few weeks ago and loved that a long 60-year marriage between an older couple was part of the story. So sweet. Love is grand.
And a few more books that I love here in my book review video…
Share with me what books you are reading as well – what am I missing?!
