As an engaged couple, choosing the perfect wedding location can be challenging.  As a wedding planner, my job is to make every part of the wedding planning process enjoyable and easy.  Much of my time is spent educating myself on the latest wedding trends as well as knowing as much about the San Diego wedding market as possible.  Site visits are a big part of that.  I love visiting different wedding venues around San Diego so that I can then provide recommendations to my clients.

My most recent site visit was to the beautiful and pristine Westgate Hotel in downtown San Diego.  I spent a few hours on the property with the wonderful Alma Camalig (Sales Manager), who was kind enough to show me their gorgeous ceremony and reception sites and guest rooms (the hotel has 200+ beautifully appointed rooms).  I was treated to a wonderfully delicious brunch following my tour of the hotel/ballrooms (because I have to know if the food is up to par – for my clients of course – and it was!).

The Westgate is located on Second Avenue in downtown San Diego and is central to pretty much everything, a huge benefit if your guests are flying in for your wedding.  Steps away from the historic Gaslamp Quarter and a short car-ride away to the ocean.  A lot to do and see!

The Westgate can accommodate weddings up to 200 guests.  Their outdoor and indoor spaces are really very beautiful; perfect for the romantic couple whose style is classic and traditional.

If you have any questions about weddings at The Westgate Hotel, contact Alma Camalig or Anna Geiss-Travis (Catering Sales Manager).

Happy Friday!!
