Um…Is This Thing On?
Where have you been, you ask? Thanks for asking… 🙂
I honestly cannot believe that it is already October 19 and I have not posted ONCE this month. Chalk it up to being busy, but great things are happening and I can’t complain. Besides meeting with wonderful new clients, visiting venues, brain-storming with colleagues, and planning weddings, I was traveling and enjoying family time. Instead of writing about what I’ve been up to these past 2 1/2 weeks, I thought I’d take you on a photographic journey…
Mark participated in his first triathlon!! So proud of him! The kids and I surprised him there. 🙂
We took a trip to our lovely little hometown of Hanford to visit family. On our first night there we joined family and friends for a concert at beautiful Civic Park. Isn’t Brody the cutest (I may be biased)?! Behind him is the historic Civic Auditorium, where all my high school proms and formals were held and where my sister, Kari, was married.
While in Hanford we surprised my youngest sister, Megan, with a 25th birthday brunch. She was shocked!
Then Megan surprised her birthday guests by (finally) revealing that she and her husband Bryan are expecting their first baby in May!! Everyone was shocked!! Kari and I already knew…sisters rock! 🙂
This is my Grandma, Mary. She had just returned from Portugal (where she lives a few months out of the year) and I hadn’t seen her since last November. Too long! Was so happy to visit with her.
How adorable are these hounds tooth shoes?! Two days before buying them I told my sisters I thought hounds tooth was hideous and I would never wear it. Touché.
I considered buying the hat as well…
Mark’s grandmother passed away a few days before our visit to our hometown. We extended our trip so we could be there for Vava’s funeral. She will be missed, but look at the legacy she left behind!
And then our car was broken into and my MacBookPro, iPad, iPod, and Marc Jacobs bag that those things were in was stolen. It was a sad day.
We returned to San Diego last week and this is what the sky looked like for about 3 days. Full of beautiful puffy clouds.
We also went Halloween shopping and I have one excited little cowboy on my hands! He wears his hat, scarf, and bandana daily, but I wont let him put on the chaps, vest, or boots until Halloween. 😉
I painted two walls in my house mustard, which I am in love with right now. One wall is a keeper, the other will be repainted tomorrow back to a neutral color – I didn’t dig it (much to Mark’s dismay).
A gorgeous San Diego sunset from Wednesday night. God is good. I am blessed. I promise to start blogging again regularly. 🙂
